My name is Cedric Mouroux, I am from France, and after some search over
internet I found Dr Khalil website for lasik operation. I am 33 years
old and as far as I remember I have always been wearing glasses. I then
wore contact lenses which were a bit more convenient but still not the
best. I had a myopia and a very strong astigmatism (-5.75 and -5.25), so
I wasn’t sure I would be a good candidate for lasik. 4 years ago I had a
preliminary check done in the USA where they told me they could fix my
eyes but I would probably still need glasses for reading. I forgot about
the idea then. But recently I took contact with Dr Khalil in Cairo, and
after a very pleasant talk on the phone I decided to make an appointment
with him at the end of May 2010. I have always wanted to see the famous
pyramids as well, so it was a great opportunity to visit Egypt and get
my eyes fixed if possible.
I have to admit that I was a bit scared to have the operation done,
after all it is your eyes you are talking about (and I had also read
some terrible stories online of operations which went wrong), but after
the first visit with Dr Khalil I knew I could trust him, he made me feel
comfortable, took time to answer all my questions, and I just had a good
feeling about him, I didn’t have the feeling I had in the USA that it
was just a business thing to get my money.
So the morning after I went to the operation room, Dr Khalil did some
more exams on my eyes to make sure I was a good candidate for the
operation, and then I was taken to the operation room. Everything went
so smoothly, Dr Khalil was explaining step by step what he was doing and
once again made me feel very comfortable and relax. Operation was really
painless and in all took no more than 10 minutes I think. How amazing to
be able to see quite well (even though it was still a bit foggy and
blurry) right after the operation! Dr Khalil had even arranged for a
very nice driver who took me back to my hotel and also helped me getting
my eye drops (something you have to put for 7 to 10 days for good
healing of the eyes).
I went back to my hotel room where I stayed in the dark for the day,
just relaxing and sleeping to give my eyes a break. Once again, I didn’t
feel any pain after the operation, just the occasional dryness of the
eyes. And every hour or so I could feel my eyes getting better and
better, my vision improving as time goes by! I had a visit with Dr
Khalil in the evening to check that everything was okay, which it was. I
could already see quite clearly and once again it was just improving day
by day.
After the operation I went for a week to Syria for tourism, everything
was just great with my eyes, making my trip there even more pleasant. It
was really great to not have to wear glasses or contacts anymore, be
able to fall asleep while watching tv (and not just listening to it)… a
real life change, especially for me who like sports like surfing,
snowboarding, capoeira… which are not always so convenient to practice
with glasses or contacts on.
After my week in Syria I came back to Cairo where I met Dr Khalil one
more time to check how my eyes were healing and check my vision. So a
little bit more than one week after the operation my eyes were healing
very well and my view was already at 6/6! I don’t need glasses anymore,
not even for reading! I see as well as I could before with my contact
lenses on and I can still feel that my vision is getting better and
better every day.
I can really recommend Dr Khalil, he did an amazing work on my eyes and
really changed my life, I wasn’t expecting such great results and my
only regret is that I should have done it before! Thank you so much
Doctor for what you did to me, and I am so glad I trusted you for this
operation.
